Recycle Radio Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
This policy is part of the Recycle Radio Terms of Use. It applies to the app, to streams you add or submit, and to Recycle Radio Cloud.
Use Recycle Radio for your own listening
Recycle Radio is for listening to stations and podcasts, and for alerts about what's said on air, for yourself. Don't use it to copy, republish or redistribute what stations broadcast. That includes:
- sharing, uploading, selling or publicly playing recordings, clips or the audio in the rewind buffer;
- republishing transcripts, captions or lyrics shown in Recycle Radio (quoting a few words, for example to tell a friend about a contest, is fine);
- using Recycle Radio to build a library of music.
Streams you add or submit
Only add or submit streams that their owner makes publicly available, or that you have the right to use. Don't add or submit:
- unofficial rebroadcasts of other stations or music services;
- private, paid or login-only streams, or addresses copied from a player to get around a station's restrictions (location, subscription, tokens);
- streams with illegal content, or content that promotes violence, hatred or the exploitation of children;
- streams meant to mislead, such as one pretending to be another station.
Contests
- Follow each contest's rules. If a contest doesn't allow automated help, don't use Recycle Radio for it.
- Don't use Recycle Radio to flood a station's phone lines or text lines, or to enter more often than a contest allows.
The service
- Don't try to get around plan limits, share an account, or resell access to Recycle Radio or its data.
- Don't scrape, copy or automatically query Recycle Radio Cloud other than through the app.
- Don't interfere with Recycle Radio, its servers or other users: no attacks, overloading, probing for weaknesses (unless you're reporting one to us responsibly), or malware.
- Don't use Recycle Radio to break the law or anyone's rights.
What we do about misuse
We may remove streams, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break this policy, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why first.
Reporting
Report misuse, a stream that shouldn't be in Recycle Radio, or a security problem to [CONTACT EMAIL]. Rights holders: see the Copyright Policy.
